Edson L. [Ted] Bridges III, CFA®

CEO of Bridges Trust and head of the firm’s investment team as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Ted is responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy, security research and portfolio management efforts. He is also active in new business development.
Ted received a BA in Government and Economics from Dartmouth College and a JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law. In his free time, Ted is involved in many community organizations, including serving on the boards of multiple charitable organizations.
Mike is an Executive Vice President responsible for the firm’s family office services and is a member of the investment management team. He works diligently to create meaningful solutions that meet the needs of family and foundation clients.
Mike holds a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Creighton University and actively invests his time and talents in the Omaha community. He contributes to organizations such as Creighton Preparatory School Investment Committee and Maha Music Festival.
William (Bill) is a Vice President and Trust Officer with Bridges Trust. He provides expert trust and estate planning, as well as tax and wealth management counsel. William came to Bridges Trust after a 33-year career as a private-practice attorney, in which he broadly practiced in financial aspects of the law.
William earned his BGS and JD degrees from the University of Iowa. He is an active member in the Omaha and Nebraska State Bar Associations and is a director for Airlite Plastics Company.
Nancy is a Vice President and Trust Officer with Bridges Trust, which she joined in 1980. Today, she manages the day-to-day operations of Bridges Investment Fund, Inc. and Bridges Investor Services, Inc. as the Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Compliance Officer. Nancy oversees a number of client relationships and also serves on the portfolio management team.
Margaret (Margie) is a Vice President and Trust Officer for Bridges Trust Company of South Dakota. She works closely with high net worth clients and their professional advisors to develop and implement innovative strategies in wealth management, wealth transfer, philanthropy and strategic planning.
Margie received a BS in Business Administration and an MPA from the University of South Dakota. She is an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Financial Executive Institute. She enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering her time with the University of South Dakota Foundation Board of Directors and UnityPoint Health.
Brenda Keady brings more than 15 years of client service and management experience to Bridges Trust. This experience gives Brenda the insight she needs to help implement effective solutions to client needs and objectives. Brenda is passionate about providing an exceptional experience for clients of the firm and always has the best interest of her clients at heart.
When Brenda is not assisting clients, she works to make our community better by fundraising for animal rescues. In her free time she enjoys walking her two golden retrievers, exercising, traveling and spending time with her husband.
Alicia is a Client Relationship Manager with Bridges Trust. She joined the company in 2014 with more than five years of financial industry experience. She uses her ability to listen and strategize with clients to further understand their needs.
Alicia earned a BS in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is a member of the Business Ethics Alliance and the Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
Brian is the Chief Compliance Officer and a portfolio manager with Bridges Trust who joined the company in 1992. His noncompliance-related responsibilities include individual securities research and portfolio management for individuals, corporate assets and charitable foundations.
Brian earned his BA in Business Administration with distinction from Pensacola Christian College. He is actively involved in community organizations such as the CFA Society of Nebraska, Love Church and Abide Omaha.
Kelly is an Accounting Manager in the Family Office Services team with Bridges Trust. She is responsible for providing accounting, financial reporting and specialized financial analysis for the firm’s high net worth clients.
She earned her BS in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Kelly has her CPA license and is a graduate of the ICAN Defining Leadership program and the Graduate School of Banking Financial Managers School. Giving back to her community is very important, which is why she is a National Lutheran School Accreditation committee member, parochial school board member, and school and church volunteer.
Megan is a Vice President of Client Services with Bridges Trust. She works to help her clients identify and achieve their financial goals.
Megan received her BS in Accounting from Concordia University and an MS in Accounting from the University of New Orleans. She is highly involved in the community in such organizations as the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance and Future Business Leaders of America.
Brian is a Senior Vice President at Bridges Trust. His areas of expertise include estate planning, tax planning, philanthropic planning, wealth management, and trust and estate administration.
Brian earned a BS in Agribusiness with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a JD from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln College of Law. Brian is an active member of the Nebraska Bar Association, the Omaha Estate Planning Council and the Association for Corporate Growth – Nebraska Chapter. Brian is involved in his community as a member of Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church, as an officer of the Herbert T. and Marian S. Weston Foundation, and a Director of Habitat for Humanity – Omaha.
Sarah is a Vice President of Investments for Bridges Investment. Her responsibilities include every aspect of portfolio management to help clients achieve their goals.
Sarah earned a BBA with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, an MBA and a Master’s of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management (MSAPM) from Creighton University. Sarah is an active member of the CFA Society of Nebraska, the CFA Institute and is a TeamMates mentor.
Miranda is a Vice President of Client Services with Bridges Trust. Miranda has more than 17 years in the wealth management industry and enjoys building a rapport with her clients and collaborating to tailor solutions per their individual needs.
Miranda earned her BS in Business Administration from Bellevue University and graduated from ABA Trust Schools I, II and III with honors. She is a Nebraska Children’s Home Society Trustee and also sits on the Development Committee for NCHS.
Doug joined Bridges Investment Management in 1993 with expertise in investment policy development, portfolio management and equity securities analysis. He is honored to be a trusted resource for his clients.
Doug earned his BS in business administration and accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is actively involved in the CFA Society of Nebraska and is a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
Jenny is a Vice President and Philanthropic Advisor on the Family Office Services team at Bridges Trust. She and the team offer a suite of specialized services that gives family office clients peace of mind. Jenny uses her 21 years of experience from both public charities and private foundations when implementing customized philanthropic strategies.
She earned her BS in Business Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and holds a certification in fundraising management. Jenny is an alum of Leadership for Life and is currently serving in a governor-appointed leadership role as commissioner for Serve Nebraska.
Nick is the Senior Vice President of Bridges Trust, which he joined in 2017. His responsibilities include portfolio and wealth management, security analysis and investment policy development, but his favorite part of the day is building and strengthening relationships with his clients.
Nick received a BS in business administration and finance from Creighton University. Outside the office, he enjoys giving back to his community, volunteering with TeamMates Mentoring Program and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and School.
Edson joined Bridges in 1959 after completing his secondary education at Deerfield Academy and receiving a degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. Edson also received his MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. He received his CFA designation in 1967 and has headed Bridges Investment Counsel, Inc. since 1970. Edson is a member of the Omaha-Lincoln Society of Financial Analysts, and of the Investment Counsel of America. Edson is very active in the community serving as a director or member of various charitable, civic and corporate boards and organizations.
